DETROIT — A four-day break caused the Detroit Pistons to start sluggishly against the Phoenix Suns. Consequently, the Pistons were down by as many as 16 points midway through the second quarter. After a slow start, however, the Pistons overcame their subpar first-half performance, leading to a 108-105 victory, Thursday night at Little Caesars Arena.

Duncan Robinson led the way with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Jalen Duren recorded his 19th double-double of the season with 18 rebounds and 16 points. Jaden Ivey had arguably his best game of the season by adding 15 points in 17 minutes off the bench.

Cade Cunningham had his worst shooting performance of the season, finishing the night with 10 points on 3-of-16 shooting. He was 4 for 9 from the foul line and 0 for 7 from behind the arc, with five turnovers. However, the All-Star guard was able to impact the game amid his return from a two-game absence, adding 11 assists.

Grayson Allen led the Suns with 33 points, 21 of which came in the first half. Amid a career year in scoring, Dillon Brooks added 16 points before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.
